About Us


Alica Estate was created on the footsteps of the majestic Julimar  forrest, by a determined and tenacious couple called Alicia and Jacob who brought their dream from Europe.  After a span of two decades of intermittently searching for suitable land with a shovel, miners pick and soil testing kit they finally found the right property in Julimar where the soil was somewhat poor but rich in minerals and trace elements. In 2001 this determined couple started to plant there vineyard, with the help of friends and relatives using only natural and biodynamic methods for viticulture.  In 2010 they started construction on the restaurant and wine production buildings. 


Jacob’s father and grandfather were wine and spirit merchants in Silesia for decades.  Alicia’s mother who was born in France brought an extensive knowledge of French wine making methods and cuisine.  This family influence and passion for wine and good food coupled with over two decades of experience running a successful European restaurant in Perth planted the seed which has now grown into Alicia Estate Winery and Restaurant.   

The extensive menu of the restaurant is a complement to the styles and varieties of wines produced on the estate.  The addition of beehives on the premises, and the types of trees in this area has allowed Jacob to create a unique honey mead which is made in the traditional method dating back to ancient viking times.
